When you represent this technical compliance and quality engineering consultancy, you will be developing and implementing custom quality assurance strategies for global leaders in solar manufacturing. Your input will have a direct impact on the growth of high-quality, domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and America’s energy independence.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time/freelance auditor for an assignment to begin on January 20th, 2025 and other potential future assignments.
Job location: Remote from anywhere in the United States. Travel to U.S.-based manufacturing facilities required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inspections with factories
- Perform quality inspections and witness testing at solar facilities
- Ensure inspections are stringently performed in accordance with applicable IEC and other industry standards
- Prepare daily inspection reports
- Submit final reports in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel for 2-4 days at a time
- Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant field such as physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering
- Work experience or school coursework related to testing, evaluating, or inspecting PV module materials, battery energy storage materials, or similar materials
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 systems
- Business proficient in written and spoken English in order to produce reports for corporate leadership
Nice to have:
- Worked in a solar module manufacturing factory either directly in production, in a quality control/assurance position, or as a third party inspector/auditor
- Auditor certificates and other relevant system certificates

- $1,200 USD per assignment
- Company will book flights and hotels directly, so you do not have to front the expenses
- Reimbursable expenses include meals, ground transportation (taxi, car rental, bus, train, etc), parking & tolls, co-working space rental if needed, and other miscellaneous expenses.
